The Works Building Trades Foundation (WORKS) is a 501.3(c) non-profit educational organization based in Charleston, SC.
Our mission is to promote trade professionalization, standardization, and national accreditation, to promote the economic welfare and social mobility of American tradespeople, and to support our employer partners in providing registered apprenticeship training.
We currently administer a 4 year apprenticeship program for plumbing, which is registered with the U.S. Department of Labor, the state of South Carolina, and the VA Administration. Our plumbing apprenticeship program consists of 8,000 hours of On-the-Job Training and more than 576 hours of Related Technical Instruction.
We will offer apprenticeships in other trades in the future so if there is a specific apprenticeship you would like to join then let us know.

Our apprenticeship program is called Path and our first skilled trade is for plumbing. Today we’re training plumbing professionals but with your donation we can train more people in more trades.
